Remove Pages

A PDF page removal tool deletes one or more pages from a PDF, producing a cleaner, smaller document that contains only the pages you want to keep. Removing pages is the fastest way to strip blank sheets, cover pages, ads, or sensitive content before sharing a document. It also shrinks the file — deleting a hundred pages from a 300-page scan can cut the size by a third. The tool shows a visual grid of every page so you can click exactly the ones to drop, with red highlights confirming your selection before you commit to the removal.

Because pdf-lib copies surviving pages into a fresh document rather than deleting in place, the original file on your disk is never modified, which makes the operation completely safe to retry with a different selection if you change your mind. The output PDF rewrites the cross-reference table and discards orphaned objects like bookmarks and internal links that pointed to removed pages, so expect those references to disappear cleanly rather than dangle. Removing image-heavy pages can shrink the file dramatically since the embedded image streams are not copied at all, making this a more targeted size-reduction strategy than whole-document compression when only a few pages carry the bulk of the bytes.
